My name is J. David Lovejoy, and I'm a 26 year old visual artist, music composer, and writer of fiction from Baltimore. Being left handed and born in the mid summer, I am technically a sinister Cancer. I'm a graduate of Friends School of Baltimore and Maryland Institute College of Art. I've been living in Philadelphia since 2007, and am currently working in the creative services department at a local vacation company. I'm also a self-trained automotive designer and also interested in voice-acting.
When not at my day job, I'm an occasional freelance web and graphic designer, working out simple contacts with clients who need affordable, attractive web, print, or other creative material. In all such ventures, I strive to find the ideal balance of speed and precision, providing clients with what they need, when they need it. While not doing business I spend my time keeping my creative juices flowing, staying informed about society, eating ethnic food, cooking my own, and spending time with people I care about. I also enjoy watching films and anime, and playing soccer and the discus.
So why "Renaissance Road"? It's just a road name that was in a dream I had. Sounded cool, and lovejoy.com was taken, so it stuck. I've maintained Renaissance Road since 2005 as an online portfolio; a clean, straightforward means of organizing my art, music, projects, and whatever else I feel like sharing with the world. I hope you enjoy exploring the site.
